Most recently I completed 5 classes of the 12 at Antioch for the Autism Spectrum Disorder program. I never thought that I would be able to come as far as I have. I did not think that I was cut out for graduate level academics. One of the best experiences so far has been the people that I have had the honor of meeting. They are a dedicated group of people who support and stay strong for the children and adults with autism.
My next series of classes start in January. This semester will prove to be more difficult than this last one as there is a huge project due in May. I have a good idea, thanks to one of my collegues in the program, and I am excited to start working on it. My hope is that it will be utilized by teacher and organizations to better understand and help the children on the spectrum.
That's all for now and thanks for reading!
By for now,
Nadia

Nadia,
Let me try this again - I hope you are well rested after last weekend's intensity.
Did you visit the neurodiversity site yet,,,,I want to know what you think of all that genetic responsibility, rather than environmental poisoning. Recently I visit the wikipedia page for Autism – I added instances of autism in boys being higher, my comment was removed and removal was justified and I am learning SO much. The fact is the only fact I knew about Autism is not a ‘fact
‘ at all. The CDC (Center for Disease control and prevention) quotes four time more likely in boys – but these little of no research to back that up.
Wiki -ers are encouraged however to base their statements on fact – peer reviewed research form one of the recognized journals.
I cannot invest the time to look into all this now – but my point is that we n=know so little, and much of what we learn, absorbed, accept is ‘hear-say or Chinese whispers or worse – manipulative propaganda. I am not one for conspiracy theories, but now I have to re-think all my accepted knowledge about Autism and consider everything subjectively.
What do you think?

Good for you! The more professionals we have, the better the prospects for our children - don't fancy moving to California do you?
Best wishes
